Peruzzi went on social media just as its done in Nigeria to express his disappointment:

I Worked The Hardest Last Year || Thebase.ng

This thinking has to stop, I mean it’s an award first off it doesn’t make you or break you it only means you should work harder in other to get their attention or better still kiss more asses. Lol

In Peruzzi’s case he worked hard but as a featured act that’s where he’s mistaken but Teni had “Askamaya”, “Case”, “Simbobo”, “Fake Jersey” “Rambo” she even wrote Davido’s “Like Dat” and she didn’t feature anyone in these songs they were solo efforts, records born out of fans demand. Peruzzi featured on heavy songs such as “Amaka” “Mind” “Aje” “Aza” just to mention a few, yes he featured he doesn’t own any but his contributions can’t be understated unfortunately the ” Best New Act” category doesn’t see that as a criteria for winning which makes Teni the best to win, clearly bigger she’s got more hits singles.

I know y’all are about to say “ Peruzzi get EP” yes he does, awards do have calendar date used to measure an act shelf life to win. Peruzzi’s EP (Heartwork EP) came out late 2018 even if it were to be considered no song out of it is as big as Temi’s “Uyo Meyo” which equally dropped at the end of 2018. So that’s it if anyone reading this knows him personally tell him to spare us the “I made more money” phrase and promote his EP because I am yet to hear it disturb my ears.

It’s a new year, a clean slate the race has begun.
